Vitz was no stranger to late night shifts, all day shifts... all night shifts.. Actually, Vitz was simply no stranger to work. Truly it seemed like the mostly stoic pony never left their job at the small club. Even when the dancing and shows were reserved for the late nights, the bar stayed open throughout the day.. and there she could be found, lingering amongst the ponys. Some argue its because they live there as well is all, just across in the building below, but really that isn't the case. A workaholic, much like her boss, who spends no time resting? No, no, she isn't like that at all.

Truly, Vitz loves the customers. And, even more so, watching. Analyzing them on their daily lives, finding the routine in the locals. Not for any malicious intent, no, quite the opposite. Vitz, at heart, lives to help, thrives off of caring for ponies around her. What better way to do that, then know them all? They knew the cutoff point for all their patrons, how long a walk home would be, the safest car rides for each. Slowly, she would gather information from conversations and watching and she had, in their mind, made this the safest place they possibly could.

All that to say, until a few new patrons showed up. Kind, sure, but one seemed to be quite the trouble maker sort. No idea when to cut himself off.. Certainly a challenge to come, they were sure, but one she was excited for. She loved learning, and testing their skills. Vitz found themselves ignoring most patrons she already knew, sending them through without the usual second check she does at the door. A bit less dilligent of watching them all as they left down the stairwell through the apartments beneath.. She was far too busy keeping an eye out for that new patron.
Though they didn't know if they were really wanting to catch a glimpse of the troublemaker, or...

No! She shook the thought, placing down a hoof firmly as she found herself standing beside the bars table. When did she leave the corner of the dance floor? They couldn't say, she didn't even remember walking here. Whatever the case, Vitz moved herself to the corner of the bar into the corner, where the door to enter behind the counter rested, watching over the customers littering the floor before them. Maybe a bit of observing would help them to think straight once more..?

Rocket Punk's lifestyle, for decades now, had been connected to Lil Menace's. Hired as the rich pony's friend and body guard - there to keep his many questionable decisions out of the eyes of the public, Rocket had grown friendly to the wildcard earth pony over her years of knowing him. She wore a mask in public to conceal her own anonymity, but now it had become something more of her uniform. She wore a school uniform in hopes of fitting in with the younger gelding, too. Baggy fabrics disguised her figure, making her look lanky and petite when a kick from one of her front hooves could send a better pony tumbling across a bar if things got heated. Rocket Punk never missed leg day.

Earlier today, however, it didn't matter how many days she'd trained for disaster. Even with her observant, watchful gaze, she couldn't predict the ice cream cone from a trotting unicorn passing by to be the worst danger. The unicorn was older - their powers of telekinesis wavering in their old age. The ice cream cone that had been hovering beside their head swayed from one side to the next, only to plant itself directly onto Lil Menace's limited edition jacket. The newsponies had gotten a juicy story of the fight that followed. Every time Rocket Punk closed her eyes, she could imagine a new headline in the papers tomorrow. Infamous Menace Tackles Elder After Creamy Accident! or He Screamed for Ice Cream: Menace Rich-Mane Advocates for Crimes Against the Elderly

After a day like hers, of getting scolded by her employers and their publicity representatives and taking a cut to her yearly bonus for the accident she couldn't prevent - nor the fallout she could contain, Rocket Punk found herself plodding back to a bar that she and Menace had visited just a week or so ago. Menace had gotten totally plastered, smashing a glass against the bar when he demanded another drink, before losing his meal all over the dance floor later. Rocket had been able to clean up both of those messes - expressing her continued gratitude to the kelain bouncer who had helped her get the glass cleaned up, rather than throwing her and Menace out on their hindquarters immediately.

With a lowered head, she entered the establishment. She needed a drink... drinks, even. She trudged over to the bar, her observant nature draining away in her exhaustion. Digging around in one of her sleeves, she produced three golden bits and placed the coins on the counter and hopped onto a tall bar stool.

"Something strong, please." She said, waving a hopeless hoof in the air. "And something fruity." She smirked under her mask. Strong and fruity... she liked her drinks like she liked herself, evidently. Leaning her cheek against the cool bar surface and sighed. She could dance after her drinks. Surely that would help lift her mood, if nothing else, right? @AlicornPlayhouse

Vitz was, admittedly, not doing too good of a job keeping herself present. She tried their best to focus, but no matter what they kept zoning out and away off into her head. She couldn't explain it, but she was so incapable of paying attention lately! As they tuned into conversations eventually, they would all turn to fuzz. Ponies faces began to blend together as She tried to distinguish their names. Continually the large kelain would gently try to smooth the fur on her chest. It kept poofing up so much more than she'd like.. These lights were so bright, the music so LOUD..

Maybe they should ask to head home early tonight.

All of that thrown to the dust, though, as the soft clang of bits caused Vitz's head to shoot up. They'd been staring at the floor. They hadn't even noticed that all her attention had become glued to the darkly colored tiles. So much so, that she hadn't seen one of the two ponies occupying her mind. And, as much as they tried to ignore, the one she was much more excited about. This excitement quickly began to boil to the surface as her tail waved slightly behind her.. only for that boil to begin to steam away.
She surely didn't look excited to be hanging out at the bar, with her face now pressed against the countertop.

Vitz raised her hoof, hesitating for the first time quite possibly in their career. They'd talked through a lot of drunken jabbering and struggles, but here she stood.. nervous! Again their chest began to puff beyond their suit. Oh, theres no time for that! The nerve ridden pony began to confidently stride forward despite it all, shaking themselves once to get all their fur to settle.

"Well, hello there again darling!" They called over as they approached. Darling, such a common term they used for the patrons she saw daily.. yet now, she was rethinking it. Did it have odd implications? Why now were they worried about implications? "Surely that counter can't be all too comfortable. If you're tired I am sure I've a few pillows in the back of house you could borrow."

Rocket Punk's drink request seemed to go unanswered for the time being, but upon raising her head at the sound of a voice, she looked up with bleary blue eyes. The kelain bouncer from before was coming up alongside her. The bouncer mentioned pillows, but Rocket couldn't imagine much worse. The counter was cool against her cheek, but pillows... they would lull her into a deep sleep and after today's fiasco, she couldn't afford to oversleep.

So, shoving her hooves against the counter to propel herself backwards, Rocket steadied herself enough before falling over and turned to the kelain who had called her 'darling'.

"I'm looking to wake up, not to fall asleep, but thank you..." She tested an unfamiliar word on her mouth before adding. "Lovey." As her own familiar nickname. She smiled, her eyes crinkling - the only real tell of her amusement, before she reached out a hoof and used it to steady herself on the pony's shoulder, before she hopped off the bar. Scooping up her bits, she stowed them into an inner pocket in her sleeve and started towards the dance floor. If nopony was going to get her a drink, she would dance her stress off and drink to unwind at the end of the night instead.

Pausing for a moment, she turned her head back to the bouncer and extended a hoof towards her.
"Instead, why not let me lead you to the dance floor, lovey?" She asked, her eyes twinkling. "It may take as much time as it would've for you to get me a pillow, let's put it to some better use." She said and with a gesture to follow her, she slipped through the mingling crowd of ponies and began to sway to the untimely rhythm of the song that was being played. @AlicornPlayhouse

Vitz straightened herself up as the pony turned towards them, seeming to already be stumbling over. Concern seemed more prominent in the bouncers mind now. Perhaps she had some drinks before Vitz noticed? They wouldn't be surprised, they hadn't quite been paying too much attention. Or, an even more worrying idea, the poor thing was tired enough to be swaying around and still yet refusing a bit of rest.

Still, Vitz couldn't help the smile pulling at her features at the nickname she was swiftly granted. They had to admit, they liked it. It was always them sweet talking the ponies that came around, sometimes a little change of motion was enough to make you forget your worries. "Usually, I'd suggest a cup of coffee." Usually, but.. "But, I think you came to the right spot tonight." They laughed softly as she steadied herself against their shoulder, Vitz shifting forward to try and keep the brightly colored mare stable. "There ya are, I've gotcha." They reassured, this being a conversation she was all too used to.. Vitz was much more a helpful staff member then a 'bouncer' in all honestly.

A twinge of disappointment tugged against Vitz as she pulled away, grabbing and pocketing her bits and began to head away from the bar. Unsure, the pony took one step after her before stopping. No.. she had other patrons to tend to.. Then, their ears perked upright, pointing straight to the sky as their eyes widened. "Oh, me?" Despite her usual coy attitude, nothing they did kept the mild surprise from their tongue. "I'd be delighted-!" Vitz moved forward as quickly as she could while her surprise dance partner had already begun to walk onward. "Not much leading to be done on my part." Vitz laughed almost too qiietly to hear, not quite caring as she ducked through the various ponies littering the floor, eyes glued on just one.

"Definitely came to the right place tonight." They whispered once again, a remark she hoped to keep all to themselves before she trotted confidently towards the swaying pony, ducking around her and stepping in turn. She didn't put much energy into dancing, admittedly, most of that was being spent admiring.
