[ 45: Glimmering lights ]

Positive thinking was just as bad as negative thinking in the case where he was likely to pass out from exhaustion than anything else. All the pain from his falls and missteps earlier were mostly gone now, replaced with tired muscles and limbs that felt like lead as they walked. He was used to traveling for sure, always searching, but not like this.

But oh hey - the lights were back. Had he.....made a circle without knowing it or did the cave have different sections that looked the same? For the sake of all things he really, really hoped it was the latter.

While you've seen a few things here and there, don't caves usually have more, you know, inhabitants?

The celebrity shaped mushrooms brought the thought of inhabitants back to Reaper’s mind. Surely, a cave like this would have more things residing in it. Maybe not ponies, but animals, insects, or otherwise for sure. But besides that odd spider like thing he thought he saw when the journey first started, he hasn’t seen anything else. Was there a reason for it? Perhaps he’ll find out later, walking deeper into the cave.

You're startled by a drop of icy-cold something running down your back... only to discover it was simply a drop of water from a rock above. Whew, but also cold!

With his mind mostly on previous thoughts and questions, Reaper is once again, surprised by a cold splash landing on his back. Just like before, a loud squeal like a little filly escapes him and it echoes down the cave walls. He snorts, looking up to see the stalactite with another drip. I need to start looking up more. He thought, walking on and hoping no one heard the embarrassing squeal.

There's nothing here. Just more rocks.

Rocks, rocks, and more rocks. Here’s a rock, there’s a rock, everywhere there’s a rock. Reaper feels like he’s going insane. He understands there’s a lot of rocks in a cave, but there could be different rocks or something. Like one can glow, one can be a different or interesting shape. Something. This was pretty boring.

You're really quite struck by the beautiful luminescence in this section of the cavern. The mushrooms grow in strangely swirled patterns, creating an almost purposeful artistry from nature.

Well, he was complaining about how it was boring not too long ago. He guesses this makes up for it. He’s seen the glowing mushrooms before, but he could never get over just how spectacular they really are. Reaper was especially curious of what made them glow. It will be a question always in the back of his mind.

And it’s back to the rocks again. If he could, the Pegacorn would remain back with the glowing mushrooms. But, there was stuff to do. So far though, it didn’t seem like anything was getting done or progress was getting made. He was going to stay diligent though, what was the point of offering to help to give up part way through. Ever vigilant, he keeps on.

1/3 -- only roll of the day due to things. rolling with the new rule.
Unexpected visages? ::
You find a strange fungus in the shape of what you're fairly certain is a celebrity's head. Or maybe it's a piece of broccoli? You're not certain, but it'll make a fun story anyway.

Gain +1AP.

Passhon blinked as he watched the fungus again. Why were they making shapes when he had 0 popular intel to draw from? He tilted his head as he took out his journal to sketch the headshape this time. Maybe a few of the herd members could tell him what was what?

You can hear some of the others talking behind you, but the cavern walls make their voices bounce and echo in the strangest of ways. It certainly makes everything seem livelier than it actually is, though whether or not that's a good thing ...

You continue your search for the way through the caverns. They really are quite rocky.

As you travel, you note that patches with no mushroom or lichen are actually quite rare - enough that when you see a spot of dirt with nothing on it, you pause to take a moment and examine it. As it turns out, there's a small section of stone that's actually movable, revealing a small hole in the ground with a tiny charm inside. Excitedly, you pick it up, relishing in this miniature treasure hunt you didn't know you were on!

I think it was claimed

Folded in half and tucked under a rock, you find a small ticket to some event. You're not sure what that's about, but you decide to take it with you. It might come in handy, eh?

First visit only: Gain +1 Specter Ticket

Well, it’s back to that odd echo. At this point, he was starting to get used to it, so it wasn’t so bothersome to the Pegicorn as it was the first several times. Luckily, he also didn’t hear his previous squealings haunting him again. Either way, he just keeps going down this path. While going this way, Reaper stumbles upon another bright patch of mushrooms he grows in awe all over for. He could never get enough of the sight of the colors and the array of light. He couldn’t linger long, moving down to the next path to keep searching through the many rocks. Among the rocks, not covered in mushrooms or any other growth… which was kind of weird… seemed to be a patch within the dirt. Digging at it, he seems to find something hidden in a hole. No questions asked, he picked it up and just went on his way. It seemed his luck would continue. Tilting his head at seeing something tucked under a rock, Reaper made his way over; hoofing at it until he freed the odd folded ticket. How are these things getting here? He wondered to himself, tucking the ticket away and moving on.

[ roll 5 + summary - wei ying ]

[ 4: Nothing at all... ]

So to top off coming this far and moving quicker, Wei Ying had seen nothing at all despite the feeling that he'd been able to do just a little bit more. There was the same nothing here, nothing there, and the same splash of water onto his withers from the offending rocks above. He could see the same pretty bands of light from the mushrooms, see the same areas where something had once been there but was now gone, and even though stuff was happening.... nothing changed.

He remained unimpressed and a little more than bored. At least the pace was picking up, if his own sudden burst of extra energy meant anything? Were they all collectively closer to something? Why the sudden urgency, not that he'd ever dare complain about a complete benefit?
