You find a strange fungus in the shape of what you're fairly certain is a celebrity's head. Or maybe it's a piece of broccoli? You're not certain, but it'll make a fun story anyway.

Gain +1AP.

You can hear some of the others talking behind you, but the cavern walls make their voices bounce and echo in the strangest of ways. It certainly makes everything seem livelier than it actually is, though whether or not that's a good thing ...

Making it through the maze, Reaper wasn’t too confident with their guide’s answer. Did he really know where he was going? It was a thought that passed through his mind, but it was quickly interrupted by another cold splash to his back. This time, he managed to retain his squeal; quickly scurrying out from under the stalactite he was sure was over him… only to be assaulted with a second splash of cold down his back. ”SERIOUSLY?!” He yelled out in disbelief, snorting in annoyance as he stomps away. In his ire, he almost missed the other pony from the group waving at him. The Pegicorn managed to calm himself enough to head over, holding a decent conversation with them. He was surprised by an offering of a cookie, which he happily accepted; he was getting pretty famished since the last time he took part of a sweet snack. Thanking the other for the treat and for the talk, he excuses himself to continue his search. ”And back to nothing.” He speaks to himself, looking over the rocks that he passed. This side of the maze didn’t seem too different from the first, there were still plenty of mushrooms around. Sure enough, he found one of those funny shaped ones; a singer this time. Admiring it for awhile, Reaper walked on, only to hear a familiar sound he hoped he didn’t have to ever again. Talking and other noises coming from everywhere at once, it was confusing and it was annoying. Picking up the pace, he trotted away as fast as he could.

Just when it seemed like maybe they'd find their way out, everything just kept on looming....

The crowds that had all come in together had all but vanished, leaving behind what felt like only one or two ponies still lurking around.

Surely this wasn't how it ended, with everyone too exhausted to care beyond this? Would the Queens even reward their findings when it likely they would all consist of "this really sucks and is boring" ?

Still, Wei Ying decided he needed to keep on moving. The guide had said they were sure this was the right way, that there had to be something there.

They'd found a weird ticket, something they were amassing over time, had heard something strange skitter around (gross), seen literally nothing, and had come across a broken bridge that probably lead to the way out but Dreamer Forbid anything come of it any time soon.

Why couldn't he have been a pegasus so he could just fly across? More pretty mushrooms popped up but at this point in time Wei Ying was entirely too done to care.

Just....entirely too done. It felt like they'd been trapped down here for weeks.

You're really quite struck by the beautiful luminescence in this section of the cavern. The mushrooms grow in strangely swirled patterns, creating an almost purposeful artistry from nature.

Squeezing through a couple of particularly tight paths in the cave, you come across a wondrous sight. It's a nearly spherical room with a beautiful pool of water in the center, equally round. The area is lit not my the bioluminescence of the mushrooms you've grown accustomed to, but instead by some source of light in the center of the water.

Against your better judgment, you dip a single touch into the pool - and immediately a brilliant pulse of light swells and bursts out of the fluid; the water itself ripples with the force, though it makes no sound. As quickly as it came, it is gone again, however - seeming to pour into the very walls of the cave and literally trickling away down the hall you just came from.

Left in total darkness, you have to wonder - what the--?

Reaper slowed his pace when the area lit up once again, catching in the sight of those beautiful glowing mushrooms. These patches of fungi seem to be one of his favorite part of this journey, appreciating the sight as they shone around him. The patch he ran into this time seemed to span for quite awhile too, like an endless wall of illumination. Up until he runs into an area that was lit by something else. Looking around the room, his head tilts at the shape of the room, but mostly at the pool in the middle of it. Slowly, he approached it and looked in. The way it shone, it looked like there was a light in the middle of it. Don’t ask him why, he wouldn’t be able to tell you, but he had the strongest urge to reach for the light. And reach he did. The moment his hoof just barely touched the water, he peddled backwards away from the pool when that brightness seemed to explode from the water and along the walls; eventually out the room. Blinking in confusion, he could only think ’I don’t know what that was but… that just happened.’
