An odd little camp? :: You stumble across what looks like the remnant of a small camp - there's a set of coals glowing in an eerily green color, but you don't see any signs of movement nearby. You sit on a dusty rug left near the camp for a few minutes, but ultimately decide you need to keep looking. You can always come back later!

There was something odd here. He stopped dead in his tracks then looked behind himself. How? When? Why?!? These were questions he had, he had so many questions!!! He sat on the rug as he milled the theories over in his head. Okay, so there was no one here...now he finds a odd ghost camp. Does that mean that everyone in these caves are dead?!? That was a scary thought...they were in haunted caves!!! He paled before startling up and out the small camp.

Skin-crawling skittering :: You hear something scuttling on the rock above, but when you tilt your head up, you see nothing there. Something about the way it sounded makes your skin crawl, and you can't wait to get out of this place. You just hope whatever's past this isn't as creepy as the cave...

Just as he left the creepy little ghost camp the young stallion was trying to calm himself down as he kept walking. Taking deep breaths in and out. Just as easy as---what was that?!? He jerked his head up to look at the ceiling. Seeing nothing there, he felt dread trickle down his spine. Oh no. Oh no no no no. OH HECK NO!!!!!

He bolted for a nook and skittered there. Hiding until his panic subsided.

[ 5: Ouch! ]

Ever onward, ever onward. Seriously, what else was there to do? Stop and smell not there flowers, or watch the other ponies jump at shadows? Admittedly Wei Ying had considered taking a closer look at a few things here and there to try and liven up his interests, but that was short lived.

A mistake was made in which he stepped on something again and the pain surged through his hoof. Why.

[ 24: A curious echo ]

Covered in scrapes and with two sore hooves, Wei Ying was a mess unlike anything he'd been before. Normally he would never dare let another pony see him like this, but thankfully it looked as though every other pony out there was occupied by something else and certainly not by him.

That weird echo was back too, hmm.

Deciding to stick with a few other ponies for a while suited Lydia best after that last lonely fiasco, she admitted silently to herself. Just the hush whispers of discussion between them was more than enough company compared to the hushed silence of before. However, she had to admit it was eerie hearing their voices bounding back to them from the cavern walls, and the hushed whispers seemed more like the murmur of a large crowd, and it was enough to make Lydia a little unnerved. She shushed them gently, or a gently as she could, not wanting to give them away if anything was listening nearby....

Lydia rolled her eyes when the babbling of voices became just a bit too much, ducking away into a tiny alcove that she would've missed if she hadn't been looking for a place to get away. What she hadn't expected to find, however, was the package. Suspicious, she snapped a picture first, in case it happened to be some kind of trap, before picking it up. If anything, she figured, she could return it. However, it almost fell apart at the touch, and she found herself gripping a charm, with no label to speak of. Uhhh.... finders keepers then?

Something in the air hits you suddenly and intensely; it's a smell, something you can't identify but reminds you of somewhere you might call home. It makes an ache form deep in your chest, squeezing as though it might wrench your heart from your body; desperately you want to find the source, the whole of your being wracked by an intense need to satisfy that overwhelming nostalgia.

...imagine your surprise when you realize it's coming from a patch of mold. Ew.

Gain +1 AP.

This cave system was full of many mysteries. Reaper’s mind was flooded with a lot of stimulation from every angle. Nothing hit quite as hard as this one particular aroma. He wasn’t sure how it was possible, but it instantly brought up memories of being with his brother at their grandmother’s house; enjoying a bowl of her soup. It lured him towards the source, almost like what one would see in a cartoon with a pie beckoning a character over with a smokey finger. There was no finger shaped smoke, but it still served the same purpose. Getting closer, he envisioned a small camp with a pot over a fire with some soup boiling away; the thought made his stomach growl in anticipation. What he actually found had the opposite effect, his face turning in disgust at the sight of the mold. With an annoyed snort, he presses onward.

As you turn back down a tunnel, you swear you see something pass in front of you. A second later, you swear that you saw it again, out of the corner of your eye; as soon as you resolve it to be nothing more than tricks of the light, you feel a great sense of impending doom wash over you. You realize you don't know where you are, what you're doing, why--

Wait, no, it's passed. Whew. And what's that on the ground?

Trying to get that disgusting mold out of his head, the Pegicorn trotted along trying to find anything to distract him. The right pathway would be nice, but a funny shaped mushroom would work just as well. It seemed he would get his wish soon enough. Something moving ahead caught his eye, but he couldn’t get a good look at it. Making nothing of it, he kept going. He then saw it again. He stopped this time, brows lifting questioningly. Was he going crazy from being in these caves for so long? The sudden lack of recollection of what he was doing and where he was definitely didn’t help, his gaze looking to and fro frantically as if trying to piece things together. When the feeling finally passed and he could remember where he was and why he was there, he let out a deep sigh; shaking his head out. Glancing down, his head tilted some. Another item left behind, he leaned down to inspect it.

You can hear some of the others talking behind you, but the cavern walls make their voices bounce and echo in the strangest of ways. It certainly makes everything seem livelier than it actually is, though whether or not that's a good thing ...

If a weird tricks of the light playing with his head wasn’t bad enough, Reaper now had to deal with those voices yet again. He still wasn’t sure if it was the team bantering among one another, or if it was just phantom voices. Whatever it was or whatever the source, it made shivers run down his spine and he hurriedly trotted to get as far away from the noise as possible.

She moved through the cave and found herself back back where she picked up those damn spores at. She knew this wasn't the right way. She had been so sure she was going to back with the group. still nothing. Sitting for a while she tried to listen. Her long ears drooped after a bit realizing she sounded further away then before. was she going to end up left behind? She picked a direction and started to walk.

You're really quite struck by the beautiful luminescence in this section of the cavern. The mushrooms grow in strangely swirled patterns, creating an almost purposeful artistry from nature.

As she walked she noticed the mushrooms glowing and decorating the cave like a painting she looked at it for a while thinking she might have to try her paws at painting something like it. One good thing about being a forger was that she was a decent painter. Good enough to not get caught by the cops at least. this scene was amazing to her and she loved it. pity it was this and the spore room that really captivated her. she kept walking onward.

There and back again. The phrase rang through her mind as she was once again back at the room with the spores. she was at least good in finding this room if nowhere else. Sighing she sat down and took a long drink of water she had wanted to ration but she was getting tired from walking and sick to death of caves.... well perhaps not to death as this was the afterlife, or did that make it more appropriate?

((You continue your search for the way through the caverns. They really are quite rocky. ))

Rock Kandy had been wandering around these caverns for long enough to imagine if there was some manner of fate intervention that had led her to this point in her life. Surely, she adored haunted houses - she loved everything spooky and reminiscent of autumn. The princesses of the seasons had certainly intervened and presented this journey ahead of her. Going on it and returning famously wealthy (and famously famous) was plenty reward. The threat of not being able to tell her loved ones about her encounter with the princesses and the unusual things she'd witnessed had been the final straw - she would go on the journey! And now... here she was. Rock Kandy, lover of all manner of spooks and maker of candy, surrounded by rocks.

She stepped over a rock in the cavern and smiled a little. Yes... this must be fate. She was meant to be here. She knew it.

((You're startled by a drop of icy-cold something running down your back... only to discover it was simply a drop of water from a rock above. Whew, but also cold!))

Oh goodness! While Rock Kandy was able to keep herself from jumping several feet into the air this time, her crystals still clinked and clanked together as she jolted. They continued to shift around, showing her unease, as she sought out the familiar perpetrator. Glaring up at the ceiling, she saw the stalactites and narrowed her eyes at them. When they got out of this cavern, one thing she certainly wouldn't miss would be that unpleasant chill!

((There's nothing here. Just more rocks.))

Rock Kandy pressed on, her wings continuing to shift, until the crystals finally settled into place again and remained still as she relaxed. There, nothing to worry about. This was merely a cavern in the underworld - or something like it - full of mushrooms and drippy rocks and no signs of life that she had yet to see. She nibbled haphazardly at one of her rock candy necklaces - she'd brought several. They were her comfort food, after all, and who knew what or who she might encounter. She looked at her companions and their "guides". Maybe one of them would like to share her snacks with her. By the weary look in some of their eyes - they needed a sugar boost!

He slowly made his way out of his little nook to creep further down. Blinking as he entered a eerily calm section. He could feel his anxiety ebbing from his very being. Walking to a point, he sat to just breath it all in and just try to relax. Calm. He was in the middle of a gentle breeze, he was fine. It was all okay.

6Patch of rainbow puffballsWalking among the well-lit paths of the mushroom caverns seems almost dreamlike, with the colors slowly winding from cyan to deep azure, and from rippling azure to sullen violet before glimmering back to that brighter tone. How such enchanting beauty exists unknown is a fanciful topic, and perhaps suited for the easy contemplation in such a setting, but you are unfortunately diverted from your thoughts by a particularly strange misstep.

As you step down into a slight indent, you're taken by surprise as you touch down into much softer ground. Moments later, you realize it isn't ground at all as a cloud of spores rises up around you, swirling upward into the glimmering light in a wave of a thousand colors - some familiar, and some strange to your eyes. You stumble backward, coughing and sneezing, but you find that the strange spores are absolutely clinging to you, leaving you awash in new tones.

Try as you might, you can't seem to get them to come off; you only hope they give up and fall off or can be washed off eventually.

First time only: Gain Covered in spores.

He had continued walking and had come once more to another Mushroom section. He loved the new section, that was until.... He took a wrong step. He fell down and POOF, large cloud of spores.

"At least it was soft..." He muttered to himself. He tried to shake some of the spores off, but they just continued to cling to him. "Well I guess I'm stuck like this........"
